Nimaj is a small village located in the Marwar region in Rajasthan, en route from Jaipur to Jodhpur. Nimaj is known, amongst other things, for its handicrafts and traditional arts. Formerly the hunting reserve of the local royal family, today its reservoir, built to store rain water used for irrigating the surrounding farmlands, attracts migratory birds during the winter months. It is surrounded by farmland, hillocks and small villages. A stay here allows you to experience rural Rajasthan in a way that few other places do. It is a place to walk, visit farms and villages and generally put up your feet and relax.
